The majority of humans are mindful of the existence of supernatural beings. Many humans would believe these beings live exclusively in the retellings of folklore, horror and tragedy and are unlikely to consider their existence as anything more than fiction. They find amusement in their campfire retellings or beckoning whispers to the 'other side' beyond an impromptu seance. There are those, however, who have borne witness to the truth. These beings exist among the population, donning masks to integrate into society peacefully. Those who clutched at the fact were often divided into two minds: Acceptance or refusal. 
 

The former, as you might have imagined, carried a peaceful approach. Some arms wait with open arms, others a frigid shoulder of indifference. The latter of the two brought about brutality. 'Hunters' dedicated their lives to their new mission: to ensure that no 'freak', 'creature' nor 'ghoul' could hide among them. Many paranormal species grew weary - often concealing themselves for their survival. Those who fought were often met with brutal retribution - though it is understood that these humans are merely ignorant due to their innate fear of the unknown.
